Cori Jackson is tired of being a victim. To escape a dangerous situation, she takes off in the dead of night in hopes of making a fresh start. Cori looked up to see Dr. Winger in a pair of jeans and a dark blue polo shirt. His hair was damp as if he’d just gotten out of the shower. Unlike before, there was a friendly smile on his face.
Did he come back to apologize?
“You’re Cori right?”
She frowned. “Yes, but you already knew that.”
“You look even better than I thought. Good enough to eat.” He grinned bearing big white teeth with prominent canines that gave him an almost vampiric appearance.
For a moment those ice blue eyes seemed to gleam with a hint of red and in that moment, Cori believed he meant that literally.
